Sandy Creek Schools, home to more than 400 students, selected our Furniture Team to transform their Nebraska Center for Advanced Professional Studies into a state-of-the-art learning environment that promotes collaboration, flexibility, and accessibility for students, staff, and visitors. The aim was to modernize the space while fostering a progressive and dynamic educational atmosphere.

The Nebraska Center for Advanced Professional Studies stands out as a unique learning environment for high school students. The concept embraces an open floor plan with moveable furniture and nomadic learning environments, fostering a highly adaptable and dynamic educational setting.

In partnership with BVH Architecture, we carefully assessed the school’s unique needs and objectives. Our primary focus was on accessibility and the optimal use of space, ensuring a cohesive and efficient design throughout the school. Designed for flexibility and durability, the utilization of Herman Miller furniture throughout the school proved to be a perfect fit for this innovative concept.

Given the remote location of the school, we were able to coordinate and ship nearly all the furniture directly to the site, making the process as smooth as possible despite the time constraints to complete the project before the start of the second semester. Through careful planning and thoughtful design, Sandy Creek High School now boasts a contemporary, adaptable environment that meets the evolving demands of modern education.

This project not only showcases our commitment to creating functional and inspiring educational spaces but also reflects the successful collaboration with our architectural partners and the school community.
