To accomplish their three-year phased Tower Transformation project, FNBO partnered with AOI’s Construction and Furniture Groups. Starting in the Fall of 2021, the project entailed a 26-floor remodel of the existing, 44 floor, high-rise building, to drive employee experience and retention.

Selecting AOI as General Contractor and utilizing a Cost Plus GMP contract allowed the bank to offset supply chain issues, lock in labor rates, ensure timelines, overcome labor shortages and provide stability while securing best pricing for this massive undertaking.

Floor plates moved from what was formerly a majority of private offices to a modern, flexible workplace that included general work areas as well as specialty floors for conferencing, a state-of-the-art cafeteria for employees, new café for the public, and state of the art executive leadership floor for client engagement. AOI’s Furniture Group supplied and installed over 1,500 workstations in addition to height-adjustable tables, seating, personal lockers, cafeteria and lounge furnishings.

The result is a deliberate and integrated transformation of the workplace and technology to improve their ability to support innovation, increase organizational agility, and streamline operational efficiency.
