The Creighton University Medical Center’s Emergency Department was working with another contractor to update the flooring and paint. The nurse station and patient room casework also needed work, but because of the disruption that the removal and installation would cause, they had initially decided against it. AOI’s architectural products team provided the solution, which was to wrap the existing casework in place with a new finish.

AOI’s technicians repaired chipped and broken cabinetry surfaces and fusion-wrapped them in a lightweight film, tough enough to stand up to conditions that even some natural materials cannot. It is also a green solution, keeping the existing architectural elements in place when surfaces become dated and worn.
